KEmtec Lab
Devices is a small company founded in 1997 with the sole purpose of providing
high quality laboratory supplies and accessories to both industrial and
academic laboratories.
Our present focus is in the manufacturing and sale of ultraclean aluminum
and other metalllic pans (and lids) used for sample encapsulation for
performing analysis by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).

Our DSC Pans and Lids
Our
DSC pans and lids differ from those available from other vendors in that
they are taken through an extra step in their manufacturing and production.
They are subjected to a solvent cleaning process prior to packaging and
shipping. This removes any residual oils or other surface contaminants
on such metal products. Such uncontaminated encapsulation supplies are
important for use in DSC studies of many types of materials and compounds.
KEmtec DSC pans and lids also exhibit consistency in mass due to the fact
that they are punched using the same single-head die. This is not a characteristic
of any other DSC pan on the market since all others are manufactured using
multi-head punch (die). Consistency in mass can be an important factor
in certain applications such as Specific Heat and Heat Capacity assignments
by DSC. Differences in mass of DSC pans and lids affect the baseline amplitude
observed in dynamic DSC thermal curves.
